New project: Future Museum

We're thrilled to announce that we're creating a brand new website for Future Museum in Dumfries and Galloway!

Future Museum is a partnership between East Ayrshire Council, Dumfries and Galloway Council, North Ayrshire Council, South Ayrshire Council, and the independent museums of the southwest of Scotland. The project has the aim of providing free access to museum collections through a dynamic website.

Our main focus for this project is to maximise access to museum and gallery collections and deepen people's understanding of the history of the region through the website. We also aim to increase the number of visitors to local museums by featuring all the interesting items that can be found in their spaces.

Future Museum targets the needs of lifelong learners and all those interested in exploring the history and heritage of the area. 

We're excited to be part of this project and can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on the community. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to develop the Future Museum website!
